Birth Place: Morant Bay St. Thomas, Jamaica


Early Life: Ms. Kerry-Ann Titus grew up in the parish of Portland, where she now resides and works. She attended the Happy Grove High School, after which she completed a teaching diploma in Secondary Education in Home Economics at the Mico Teachers College. Two years later she attended the University of Technology, Jamaica where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics – Food and Health, after which she completed a certificate in supervisory management at the University of the West Indies, Mona and she now holds a master’s of science degree in Nutrition, also from the University of the West Indies, Mona.


Career Life:  Presently, Ms. Titus still contributes to the education system of Jamaica as a teacher of Home Economics at Titchfield High School, where she began her career and has been for last twelve years. However, her interest also now lies in helping to reduce non-communicable diseases and others through education. Her final paper for completion of her Msc. was entitled “an assessment of the socio-demographic characteristics and body weight perceptions of persons who utilize selected healthy zones.”
